Barakah Food Aid

As we are sure you will be aware, for the Muslim families in our school community, the holy month of Ramadan begins this week on Thursday.

The children have learned more about this during assembly last week, which involved some Year 6 children sharing information about Ramadan and what it means to their families.  They shared with the children about charity being a really important part of Ramadan.

They then launched our Ramadan Community Fundraiser.

We are collecting for a local community charity, ‘Barakah Food Aid,’ which is 100% non – profit and run by the kindness and compassion of volunteers: ‘For the People, by the People.’  They provide food parcels for families struggling in and around Manchester, regardless of race and religion and have already helped a few families in our Trust schools.

We are asking for contributions from the shopping list below to be brought into schools on the following dates

Cringle Brook Primary school on: Tuesday 30th June

Ladybarn Primary school on: Tuesday 30th June

Green End Primary school on: Friday 3rd July

I really appreciate your support with all our fund raising events this year and hope that our whole school community can join together and bring in a donation to this really worthwhile charity.

Thanks again for your ongoing support.
