Reading Teaching Assistant - Level 1, Grade 2

Do you really want to make a difference to children’s reading skills?

Kingsway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, Level 1, Grade 2 Teaching Assistant to a really rewarding position, to support reading on a one to one basis at Ladybarn Primary School on a 1 year, temporary contract.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of Reading Teaching Assistants and will have experience of working with children to support their learning. Candidates will need excellent literacy skills and an assessment of these will form part of the recruitment process.

The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience of working with children, supporting learning, in a school setting.  They will also be highly motivated, dynamic, have strong teamwork skills and a ‘can do’ approach to their work. They will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

TA level 1 Grade 2 – Term Time only – 16 hours a week.

£22,737 pro rata, equates to apx £8,930 per annum

Monday to Friday 9.30am start.

Employment start date: 8 January 2024

Closing date: 5 December, 9am

Kingsway Community Trust a Multi Academy Trust, which is made up of Ofsted graded Outstanding Green End Primary School, Ladybarn Primary school and Cringle Brook Primary School. This provides the staff and children of both schools with enhanced development and networking opportunities.

 

The Trust is led and managed by one Executive Headteacher, who is a National Leader of Education and one Governing Body, whose Chair is a National Leader of Governance. In each school there is a full time Head of School who leads and manages alongside the Executive Headteacher.
