British Council International School Award

2016 continues to be a fantastic year for us!

Last night our EMA Lead Mrs Asif spoke at the Manchester Museum Teach Meet to share the links our Trust Schools have with schools in other countries.

We were chosen from all the Manchester schools, due to having the Gold International School Award from the British Council, at both Ladybarn and Green End. Plus, a few years ago, we won a National eTwinning award out of all the schools in the country!

After Mrs Asif had spoken, the British Council, who were there, presented her with a surprise award for outstanding international work for the whole Kingsway Community Trust.

The British Council said they had been following our work on our websites and were really impressed by our work as a Trust and felt that they had to acknowledge and celebrate this. This is a special recognition because they have never awarded an award to a Trust before!

This work has only been possible because of the significant work, vision and determination from Mrs Asif. She has worked tirelessly to inspire staff and children regarding diversity and the international dimension of the curriculum.
